  1. Version Control with Subversion is the best technical manual I’ve read ever. I am relatively green in the world of revision control, but in an elegant manner, this book combines the technical with the practical with the theoretical. The style is very easy to digest, is a complex revision control concepts in a concise, comprehensible terms. This is not just an “on the surface” white paper – it is a complete guide for Subversion. (It’s also a good introduction to the revision control process is in general.) New in this book about Subversion, and the support of the authors. (No, I am not affiliated with them in any way.) Rating: 5 / 5
  2. If they say “like new”, it is like new. I trust these vendors because I’ve bought a few books from them. Fast shipping, good products, 5 stars. Rating: 5 / 5

Free Subversion proposing expensive commercial software hands down in terms of design, usability and quality. This book is the Official Guide to its full capacity to use and it lives up to its promise. Rating: 5 / 5
  4. B. Allen says:
This book is an excellent opportunity to Subversion from scratch and learn a valuable reference for experienced users. The material in this book is on a par with (and often live better than) the material in enterprises “, Instructor-Led ‘training. This book covers everything from high-level, conceptual view of Subversion on the command line details to the low-level internal workings of the Subversion code. Best of all is easy to read the book and the authors use exactly the right set of diagrams and flow charts (enough to clear up any questions, but not so many as to be overwhelming or distracting). I can not imagine a Subversion-powered project without this book. Highly recommended Rating: 5 / 5
  5. Todd Fischer says:
I have worked with CVS and SVN for more than 10 years. The improved mail merge feature in SVN 1st 5 is a much needed capability. This book does a good job describing branching and merging, is what is really in SVN, SVN and how to properly perform our branch needs. That is, if you do, multi-site, especially independent, multi-developer software development and have yet to implement an SCM system, I suggest you GIT.Bewertung: 4 / 5
